Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will advise in matters pertaining to the security of classified information and eligibility of personnel to access classified information. You will establish and administer a command continuous evaluation program. You will initiate and submit personnel security investigation applications through the electronics questionnaire for investigative processing (e-quip) or current official system of record. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using technical authority required to enforce protective measures for safeguarding information critical to national security; 2) Ensures the command's security management programs are coordinated and/or implemented inclusive of all requirements; 3) Administers and/or implements command procedures for marking, safeguarding, dissemination, transmission, transportation, escorting, hand-carry, storage, and destruction of classified information. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments. Additionally, you may be noncompetitively converted to a permanent career-conditional or career appointment under specific conditions. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment or Relocation) may or may not be authorized to eligible selectees.
