Security Supervisor 1
Summary of Description of Job:
Provides leadership and direction for Security Force in assigned areas of responsibility. As the team lead, impacts the effectiveness of their own team and closely related teams. Directs and controls activities associated with the implementation of the Physical Protection Plan for their shift. Ensures compliance with government regulatory requirements, plans and post orders. Responsible for the supervision and compliance of the Security Strategy to include: physical security; target protection; tactical response; contingency plans; and human reliability programs. The Security Operations Supervisor ensures that commitments set forth in the Physical Protection Plan, Post Orders, and the Contingency Response Plan are achieved. Conducts investigations of security incidents and infractions. Assists the Plant Superintendent with directing plant wide efforts regarding emergencies or other abnormal contingencies to assure personnel safety and regulatory compliance. Serves as the Security Director’s Designated Representative as required by 10 CFR 73.46.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises site security activities associated with the Physical Protection Systems and equipment, as well as security personnel, employees, contractors, and visitors to assure that conditions are operated in accordance with approved security plans and procedures. Administers a system of reports and summaries which objectively furnish accurate information and recommendations on site security investigations and incidents which include consideration to meet government reporting requirements within approved guidelines and procedures. Ensures all security posts are manned and equipped appropriately. Coordinate staffing changes and requirements: maintenance jobs, compensatory measures, call-offs, etc. Monitor fatigue for on-shift security personnel and communicate issues to the security management. Implements appropriate measures to compensate for the loss of effectiveness of security systems/sub-systems as required by government regulations and approved security plans. Provide technical assistance and work closely with the Security Department Managers and Security Compliance and Access Control Manager on security related projects. Determines and analyzes security operational needs for all aspects of the commitments established in the various security plans and procedures. Analyzes the company and department mission with respect to policies and procedures to ensure that the security program reflects the safest and most innovative best industry practices. Administers disciplinary action when required and addresses inadequate performance issues promptly. Support the NFS Operations Center providing short relief breaks for the Operations Center Specialists as described in the OCS Procedures.

5 years' experience in a security related field is required to demonstrate ability to apply technical knowledge to security incidents and activities.
Pay: $$63,000.00 - $99,000.00
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $$63,000.00 and $99,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
