Security Supervisor

Job Summary:  Supervises front-line, 24-hour security and provides support to the Security Department.  Responsible for upholding the integrity of the facility and correct any guests, clients and employees acting outside the facility rules and regulations.  The Security Supervisor will uphold the Security Department’s Prime Directives, most importantly to take reasonable steps to protect the safety and security of venue guests, employee and assets with respect towards everyone’s dignity and legal rights.  This position requires a flexible work schedule, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.  

Essential Duties:             

Train counsel, discipline, evaluate and supervise in accordance with the ASM T-Mobile Center & Security Department philosophy policies and procedures.         Deploy staff, assigning appropriate shifts, breaks and necessary equipment.               Appropriately investigate, evaluate, and document incidents as well as ensure proper staff is notified.Receive assist and act on complaints from guests, clients and employees according to established policies and procedures.       Ensure proper knowledge and usage of ASM security software systems (e.g., ISS, access control, and visitor management systems).   Responsible for the operation of surveillance cameras, and completion of metal detector and wand checks.  Also responsible for security department administrative functions including the answering of phones and radio communications.Plan, direct, or coordinate security activities to safeguard company assets, employees, guests, or others on company property. Mans the security base command center and establishes post positions for officers.  Ensures patrols are being conducted for building on regular basis.Other duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications:

A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency      Years of related work experience: 3Must have supervisory and/or management experience.Able to obtain and maintain a commission license.A team player with experience working with, leading, motivating and leading by example.Demonstrated ability to multi-task while effectively leading a team.Strong interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate and perform in crises and work under pressure without the loss of composure.Ability to maintain good business relations with all the employees & managers.Knowledge of security-related rules and regulations with good understanding of right and wrong, and sound judgement. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Ability to memorize, recollect, and quickly retrieve relevant information.Ability to interact effectively and calmly with angry or emotional guests and employees during intensely aggravated circumstances.Ability to frequently move materials and equipment up to 45 lbs.Ability to move about venue including stairs, communicate and observe continuously.Ability to work flexible hours across multiple shifts, including days, nights, weekends and some holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

BA/BS DegreeExperience in sporting events, concerts, and/or game management and production.

Additional Comments:

Some tasks may expose employees to hazardous chemicals. Employee should use precautions & follow safety guidelines.
