We currently have an opportunity for a Security Supervisor. Join our team at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and play a key role in supervising and coordinating the day-to-day security operations across the hospital precinct, ensuring delivery of incident response and standards in accordance with the Services Specification and approved safe work instructions. Reporting to the Security Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
This is a Permanent position based at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and working on a rotating roster of 12-hour day or night shifts.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
Work with key stakeholders to review incidents, identify risk, educate and communicate relevant safety awareness information and support an environment that is friendly, safe and secure. Shared responsibility to ensure that sufficient, properly trained and qualified Security resources are in place in vulnerable and high risk areas. Ensure that safety and legal obligations are met and delivered in accordance with the Services Specification and relevant legislation and by-laws.What You’ll Bring
Experienced in leading and managing teams. Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices. Knowledge of security management systems, CCTV and building automation systems within a control room setting. Current Queensland Security Licence. Certificate II in Security Operations. Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate. Hold a current Blue card. Strong safety awareness, ability to work flexibly and reliable. Consistency, effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and able to build good relationships with all internal and external stakeholders. Professional, responsive, and committed to ensuring the success and continuous improvement of the Security Service.More than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.
