Security Support Services/Site Lead - Joint Staff (TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility)
RiverTech is seeking an experienced Security Specialist to serve as Site Lead/Supervisor for a multi-discipline (cross-functional) team providing comprehensive security services to the Joint Staff Security Office-South (JSSO-South). The ideal candidate will possess generalized Security Program expertise and will supervise and coordinate the work of security personnel in the disciplines of Personnel Security (PERSEC), Information Security (INFOSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC), Communications Security (COMSEC), Visitor Access and Control, Customer Support, and Foreign Visit Support (FFV). This position is located at the Joint Staff Suffolk Complex, Suffolk, VA and has responsibilities for services performed in Suffolk and at Norfolk Naval Station, VA. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! **Responsibilities** + Leads security support team at the JSSO-S location and provides on-site customer service.Facilitates communications between the PM located at JSSO-N (Pentagon) and the JSSO-S team. + Supports JSSO-S customers by responding to queries, requests for assistance, and providing subject matter expertise. + Provides PERSEC expertise to the JSSO-S in application of National (Executive Orders), DoD, JS, and NATO security policy, procedures, systems, and programs to ensure security eligibility of personnel for entry into facilities, assignment to sensitive positions, and access to sensitive and classified information. + Supports the government by accomplishing various actions related to the sub-disciplines of INFOSEC through the development of recommendations for government approval. + Supervises the JSSO-S Norfolk team, ensuring Visitor Control access to the JDMOC entrance in NH-95 is maintained 24/7. + Supports the PERSEC Division by processing packages for in-bound personnel; initiating and processing to completion eApp actions background investigation actions; processing fingerprints; preparing folders; processing forms;, verifying clearances; indoctrinating personnel for both collateral, SCI, and other compartmented accesses (including NATO); debriefing personnel when access is no longer required, running JPAS queries and, entering information into clearance systems of record; and other administrative actions necessary to complete in/out processing. + Reviews new civilian hire packages for completeness and to validate clearance eligibility requirements for the positions. + Conducts clearance verifications and processing of access requests for non-billeted military, civilian, and contractor personnel requiring access to the Joint Staff. + Assists the government customer in the administration of DOD security programs. + Assist in the development and implementation of security procedures and policies in coordination with government agencies and management personnel and clearance documentation. + Investigates, prepares, and submits incident reports as required. + Participates in the development of security education programs. + Provides technical and physical support for high security areas, security equipment, and security systems. + Investigates security violations and recommends corrective actions. + Maintains access control and surveillance of the facility. + Performs work under minimal supervision.
