Job Overview
The Team Leaders role is to be the first point of contact for all officers assigned to the location. Managing queries and escalating it through the correct process. The role will require the successful applicants to work collaboratively, but also on their own at times. The successful person will be able to guide all officers during their shifts, whilst driving standards set by the management team, will report directly to the Night Security Manager
Main Duties
The team leader role is an operational role and will form part of the security officers rotation. The right candidates will be able to work effectively with all stakeholders within the contract and represent their team in meetings with middle management.
Lead a team of security officers Responsible for daily team briefings and end of shift handover reports for the overnight team Fully and satisfactorily complete all of the tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's). Ensure that all team members keep an accurate record of any incidents that occur via our internal system Coordinate your team to deliver excellent and approachable customer service and support to all customers and members Proactively refer to and review the published Assignment Instructions, thus familiarising oneself with any changes in order to suggest additional amendments that will improve or enhance the current level of service. Ad-Hoc Tasks directed by the Night security manager Cover the absence of the Night security manager
Security and Health & Safety
Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site. Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage. Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening. To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers. Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process. Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client. To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's). To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents
What we are looking for
Previous Security leadership Experience (Minimum of 5 years experience) SIA Door Supervisor License and CCTV License Required. First aid at work (FREC3 OR FPOS Advantageous ) IT Literate Demonstrate a proactive and professional approach to work. Attention to detail, proactive and excellent time management. Security Institute membership (Advantageous)
