Position Summary

The Security Team Leader assists the Security Executive in guiding the Security Officers on duty to ensure that hotel work procedures and inspection work is carried out correctly. The role should cover the daily work of the Security Executive in his / her absence.

\n

What will I be doing?  

\n

As the Security Team Leader, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nSupervise each security operation shift, making sure adequate patrol patterns and frequencies are maintained to ensure the security of guests and team members.\nFamiliarize with and check hotel fire equipment and fire evacuation passages.\nEnsure Security Officers report issues to respective department promptly as recorded during their patrols.\nFamiliarize with each department’s work procedures, security knowledge and emergency procedures, supervising each position’s professional knowledge and work standard.\nConduct random bag inspections of team members entering and leaving the building.\nEnsure asset removal policy is adhered to, to prevent hotel assets from being removed without proper authorization.\nArrange escort services for team members carrying cash, where required.\nMaintain perimeter patrols at points of entry and egress to ensure that there are no loiterers in the hotel premise.\nProfessionally examine team members’ work knowledge, discipline and responsibilities.\nConduct random inspections of the hotel to ensure security practices are being followed, fire exits are not blocked, and equipment is not obstructing fire hose reel doors, sufficient clearance between stacked goods and sprinkler heads.\nTake appropriate action to resolve guests’ complaints, communicating professionally and effectively with guests.\nBe familiar with current first aid and fire emergency procedures.\nEnsure a high level of cleanliness and tidiness in work area.\nMaintain a professional appearance up to Hilton standards, demonstrating good attitude and behaviour at all times.\nInteract with team members in a professional and positive manner to foster good rapport, promote team spirit and ensure effective two-way communication.\nAdhere to the hotel’s policies and procedures, Hilton code of conduct and the hotel’s team member handbook.\nCarry out other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.\n

A Security Team Leader serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

\n\n\n\tHigh School or Secondary Vocational School graduate.\n\tHolds a valid Security Officer License by Police Licensing and Regulatory Department (PLRD).\n\tProficient with hotel security, public security, fire control and management.\n\tFamiliar with fire and traffic safety laws and regulations.\n\tTrained first aider and Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) certification preferred.\n\tGood communication skills.\n\tAble to organize and direct staff according to job specifications to complete tasks.\n\tGood knowledge in the use of MS Word and Excel.\n\n\n
