Security Technical Program Manager, Corporate Security

We’re looking for a Security Technical Program Manager to join Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:

Lead programs to develop systems and tools to improve the security properties of Snap’s Enterprise Security domains including Corporate Identity, DLP, Client Endpoint Device Security, SaaS Security, and Zero Trust.

In partnership with security engineers and tech leads, oversee the the roadmap for multiple assigned domains to independently scope and lead a small group of engineers to achieve the desired security outcomes.

In partnership with security engineers and TLs, lead programs across the team and organization to influence the requirements, architecture, and priorities for our roadmap to achieve the desired technical outcomes with internal, external teams and vendors.

Own and drive operational programs for team security operations, identify areas of improvement by improving automation, runbooks and processes. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proven impact in two or more of the following Enterprise Security Domains: Zero Trust (Beyond Corp), Enterprise Authentication & Authorization, Endpoint Security, Data Loss Prevention, Cryptography and PKI, SaaS Security.

Proficiency in threat modeling risks to enterprise infrastructure and driving the program to implement preventative controls and detective controls in partnership with our Detection and Response organization.

Advanced knowledge of operating system internals, and a core competency in two or more of the following: Identity and Access, Infrastructure Hardening (macOS, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS), Saas Security and Assurance and Validation.

Ability to work collaboratively to lead Security Programs with Security Engineers to break-down ambiguous problem statements into their associated program and project charters, designs and tasks, perform technical program management in partnership with Security Engineers, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders independently with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent years of experience in a related technical field.

3+ years of experience as an Enterprise Security focused Technical Program Manager or Security Engineer. 

Ability to drive and influence the design of new security controls taking an engineering first mindset.

Ability to own and drive complex cross-functional programs consisting of multiple projects with differing priorities.

Familiarity with system design and software engineering to identify incorrect patterns and drive resolution with security engineers and XFN partners. 

Core engineering competency in two or more of the following domains: Client systems, Server infrastructure, Cryptography and PKI, Networking and Systems administration, Identity and Access Management, SaaS Security.

Exceptional written, verbal, presentation and organizational communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent years of experience in a related technical field

5+ years of experience as an Enterprise Security focused Technical Program Manager or Security Engineer. 

Practical experience leading programs to implement Beyond Corp/Zero Trust architectures.

Practical experience leading programs to implement browser and host level Data Loss Prevention.

Practical experience leading programs to implement large scale Corporate Identity Management infrastructure leveraging OSS. 

Practical experience leading programs to manage large-scale security operations. 

Strong understanding of federated authentication/authorization technologies (e.g., SAML, SCIM, OPA, OIDC).

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $152,000-$228,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $144,000-$217,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $129,000-$194,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
