We are currently looking for a Security Technician to join our team!

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Install, program, test, repair and service a variety of technical complex security systems Interpret manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and repair equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics Strong computer skills - proficient in PC applications Microsoft Office, TCP/IP and networking standards Execute technical aspects of multiple projects including programming, start-up, certification testing, customer training, close-out documentation, and on-going technical support Identify potential project risks; implement strategies to control deviations from estimated costs and deadlines, while maintaining a sense of urgency to meet the needs of business changes Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, verifying receipt Other duties as require

 

Required Skills

Proven organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple projects Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills Strong diagnostic skills, and resolve technical problems, be self-motivated and calm under pressure Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to learn quickly Self-motivated, positive, and professional attitude

 

Required Experience 

Strong understanding of the processes and procedures of Security Systems Comprehensive knowledge of access control and CCTV products A good knowledge of building systems and relevant standards Three years of relevant industry experience

 

Additional Requirements

Maintain a valid class 5 operator's license Ability to work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs as required Travel may be required
