THE ROLE Reporting to the Director of Venue Security Operations, the Security Technician is primarily responsible for coordinating and facilitating security needs and services for Event an Non Event Days at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena, including but not limited to the coordination and communications of and to third party operators and staffing agencies, local, state and federal law enforcement and governmental agencies as well as coordinating the operational risk and liability of all venue security, ingress and egress processes and crowd management with the Director and GM. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Provide guest service by greeting and assisting guests and responding to guest inquiries and complaints + Assist the Security Director to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the security department, as well as local, state and federal laws and regulations + Role model and enforce safety, health, and security priorities + Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences + Fire Watch and Other tasks as assigned by the Security Director and Operations Director + Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and reputation + Conduct and document investigations into all claims and reports per established timelines and requirements Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. Education and/or Experience + High School Diploma or equivalent preferred + Valid in-state Driver’s Licenses and meet Company insurability requirements. + At least 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred. In certain states, a Guard Card is a plus + Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures + Crowd Management Training Skills and Abilities + Position requires constant walking, traversing terrain, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs.+ and occasional sitting + Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance; ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures + Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills + Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills + Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy + A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs + Able to work flexible schedules/shifts as needed for a 7-day operation COMPENSATION Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
