A Day in the Life:
The Security Technology Specialist is a key member of the Hertz Cyber Security & Compliance organization by ensuring the security technologies are appropriate, optimally configured, full coverage to the Hertz environment, and cost appropriate. Imagines, creates, and maintains the security technology roadmap. Consults on security for all Hertz technology projects, identifies risks, and contributes to the architecture of each project.
The starting salary for this role is $90K; commensurate with experience.
What you'll do:
Understands (at expert level) all technologies supporting the Hertz Cyber Security & Compliance organization to include, but not limited to: identity and access management, enterprise governance, risk, & compliance, firewalls, cloud technologies, endpoint protection, data loss prevention, VPN, Intrusion Prevention Systems, decryption, firewall management tools, etc. Assists, as needed, with complex support to security technologies. Configures, tests, deploys and supports endpoint security and network security monitoring solutions. Supports technologies for the delivery of red team and blue team operations. Assists in troubleshooting network issues related to security technologies. Responsible for the creation and ongoing maintenance of the Hertz security technology roadmap. Work with supplier partners to understand security product roadmaps and align them to the Hertz future security technology strategy. Work with threat intelligence data from multiple sources and databases and ensures the intel is embedded into Hertz security technologies. On-call support duties in a continually changing, fast paced environment. Drives for expedient and complete resolution to issues related to security technologies. Handle all private information with discretion and keep sensitive information private. Excellent teamwork competencies seek out opportunities to partner with all stakeholders.What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science MIS, or related field. 3+ years of Information Security experience required, preferably in a global Fortune 500 corporation. Applied knowledge of Cloud Security technologies. Strong experience with the Network Security Monitoring technologies. Strong experience with vulnerability scanners. Deep experience with a wide range of enterprise common security platforms, endpoint security, vulnerability management, etc. Experience with network analysis tools. Strong, hands-on experience with technologies impacting security incident response. Capable of working under pressure in a continually changing fast paced environment. Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across a global environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Certifications desired: security product certifications.What you'll get:
