A key strategic priority for WinField United (WU) is being smart with data as a cooperative system; a core part of executing that with our retail-owners is the Retail Data Standardization (RDS) team. This team supports our retail-owners---with both process and technology—in managing, reporting, and driving value from transactional and operational data.
The Seed Reporting Retail Data Specialist focuses specifically on accounts that are reporting only seed data (which includes product, customer, and license number) to WU. Accurately reporting all seed sold is required of all customers that purchase seed from WU. Day to day this role requires managing customer communications using our CRM tool (both emails and phone calls), managing and cleaning data in the Seed Reporting Tool (a WU-proprietary system for reporting seed), and collaborating both internally and externally to resolve data issues.
This position will have assigned accounts and responsibilities throughout the year, with the busiest time being May-October. During quieter seasons, this role will flex to help others on the Retail Data Standardization Team.
This role is remote/virtual and can be located anywhere in the United States.
Areas of Responsibility:
25% Support electronic reporting of retailer seed sales data
Proactively work with retailers to report, monitor, audit, and problem-solve data within the Seed Reporting Tool
Build and maintain long-term relationships with Seed Reporting users at the retailers
Support data input, matching, fixing errors – working directly with the retailers to ensure product mapping, grower mapping, grower/seller assignments IDs are up-to-date and accurate as well as correctly matched to WU and Manufacturer data
Support data accuracy and, where needed, manage retailer data in the Seed Reporting tool (in partnership with the retail-users)
40% Level One support for retailers in the Seed Reporting Tool
Lead problem solving with retail-owners to efficiently and effectively address Seed Reporting issues
Responsible for solving system or data issues with retailers; issues may include data reporting errors, incorrect data elements, missing data
Work with partners, both internal and external, to address retailer issues in a timely and effective manner
15% Seed Reporting Tool onboarding/training for retailers
Responsible for training the individuals at retailers who will be in the Seed Reporting Tool
Ongoing training for retail-users as enhancements, updates, and new system functionality is published
20% Flex to support the broader Data Quality Team with assigned project-based work and/or retailer-support on AgriMine® accounts
Experience/Knowledge/Skills :
4-year degree along with 1-2 years customer service-related experience; related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
Detail-oriented; enjoys digging into data to identify & resolve issues/errors
Strong customer service skills required; ability to communicate information at different levels of detail effectively and inspire others to take action
Time management; juggling many tasks with tight or fluctuating deadlines and pivoting priorities
Basic data analysis skills
Preferred Experience:
Experience with systems like Microsoft Office (incl. Excel, Word & PowerBI) etc…
Experience with task-tracking / CRM tools a plus but not required
Ag industry experience; preferred experience with ag business data (ex: product, customer, sales data
