Expedia Group is looking for a passionate and driven CRM professional to join our Traveler Engagement and Loyalty (TEaL) organization. The Segment Marketing Director is accountable for driving key business KPIs through effective marketing via email, push, in product placements and landing pages for specific segments/campaign objectives as well as playing a cross TEaL role in developing and executing Brand specific versions and actions.
What you’ll do:
• Partner closely with Marketing Brand Owners and the Brand teams to determine the needs from TEaL to support emerging and planned strategies and activities in service of unique brand positioning. Bring the perspective of the art of the possible and the realities of the practical to senior level working groups. Aggregate and prioritize actions and integrate with work planning across TEaL. The core work to support Brands will be creating versions and approaches for campaigns in this and other segment marketing teams but will include interfacing with other TEaL groups to both tap expertise and align on actions.
• Ensure TEaL and this specific team deliver against Brand level objectives that are agreed based on specific intiatives
• Have accountability for strategic planning, business casing and optimal delivery of weekly and targeted global campaigns to a specific traveler segment and/or objective predominately across Expedia, Hotels.com and VRBO brands
• Deliver against key business objectives for that segment which would include acquisition, engagement, and retention through CRM programs and campaigns
• Direct, coach and lead a team of up to 6 functional experts including people manager(s)
• Bring CRM and database marketing subject matter expertise and thought leadership to bear to drive team goals and share with wider segment marketing teams, as well as to a TEaL extended leadership team up to SVP level
• Work highly effectively with Analytics and Data Science teams to leverage actionable insights & learnings to identify opportunities and develop strategies for complex and innovative campaigns to drive key objectives
• Advise on behalf of TEaL on cross-functional Expedia Group wide initiatives as a trusted expert on communicating our loyalty program(s) mechanics and offers, across currently available or future capabilities
Who you are:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics or any other related fields; or equivalent related professional experience
• At least 8 years’ experience in a CRM role, preferably in the e-commerce and/or online marketing space
• Ability to collaborate with and influence Marketing, Analytics, Martech, Creative and Finance partners to develop innovative marketing campaigns
• Ability to manage and grow direct reports as well as wider team
• Demonstratable attention to detail in dealing with complex projects and time-sensitive initiatives
• Proficient in the use of MS Office. Experience with Jira, Tableau, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other communication tools are all a plus
The total cash range for this position in Austin is $196,000.00 to $274,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $313,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
