SEIT Lead - Integrated Space Vehicle

The role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on development, manufacturing, and operation of satellite systems to address one of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space mobility. As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will provide leadership across the space vehicle organization, working across the space vehicle team to integrate core bus capabilities with a wide variety of customer payloads and missions. You will be responsible for the full systems engineering lifecycle, culminating in delivery of a fully verified space vehicle for integration with ground and launch systems.

Responsibilities:

Primary technical lead for delivery of an integrated-vehicle solution, including integrated bus and hosted or separable payloadsWork across Bus and Payload organizations to lead the full-lifecycle of integrated vehicle development, including design, implementation, build, test of integrated vehicle solutionResponsible for leading the technical vehicle level performance metrics and modeling to support environmental qualificationOwn delivery of technical data products to customers, as well as internal and external partnersDevelop and mature the “space” portion of space to ground interface, and work with ground and end-to-end engineering to meet interface requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. in Aerospace, Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related technical subject area15+ years of Technical Experience developing advanced space solutionsStrong background developing space vehicle requirements, and interface definitions, test planning, and system verificationDemonstrated experience leading vehicle integration and verification activitiesStrong background in vehicle level performance and environmental compliance analysisProven experience throughout mission design lifecycle from conceptualization through operational flightOutstanding customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet bold timelines with efficient solutions.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $174,585.00-$244,419.00

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification, Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
