SEIT SDA O&I/GMI I&T Engineer

Scottsdale, AZ

Contract Position

$63.99-$68.99/Hour

Responsibilities:

Contribute to a cutting-edge mission by developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems in a leadership role that influences critical decisions across teams and programs.Collaborate across teams and organizations to develop advanced ground operational systems, ensuring alignment with program objectives.Perform requirements analysis, system design, integration, and test (I&T) activities, including validation, verification, and interface definition for system elements.Conduct technical planning, cost and risk analysis, and supportability/effectiveness studies for system components.Ensure system compliance with governmental security specifications and provide accreditation/certification evaluation for technical security features.Develop security documentation for both new and existing systems and participate in modeling and simulation efforts.Research and analyze vendor products, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components, government-furnished equipment (GFE), and specifications to assess design feasibility.Generate technical engineering products using industry-standard tools, processes, and procedures throughout the system development lifecycle.Lead CI/CD pipeline development and test automation efforts.Utilize DevSecOps tools/platforms such as AWS, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.Address system design weaknesses and define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, and input/output parameters.Integrate and test missile warning/missile tracking systems in operational environments.Contribute to Agile processes and philosophies while interacting with executive leadership on risk management, regulatory compliance, and remediation strategies.

Qualifications:

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related field in Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in a related field.

Clearance Requirements

Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Relevant Experience

Demonstrated experience with DevSecOps platforms/tools, including AWS, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.CI/CD pipeline development and test automation expertise.Familiarity with Agile processes and methodologies.Missile warning/missile tracking system integration and operational testing experience.

Additional Technical Expertise

Extensive experience in system engineering lifecycle activities, including requirements management, functional and performance analysis, and technical planning.Proficiency in system security, accreditation, and certification documentation.Strong ability to research and assess feasibility for hardware/software solutions.

Preferred Skills

Experience communicating and presenting to executive leadership on high-impact items like remediation and risk management.Advanced communication and decision-making skills for navigating complex systems.
