We are seeking a Project Manager to lead our SEMAT team located in Sasebo, Japan. This Project Manager will be responsible for leading the team in performing maintenance and maintenance training to assist shipboard personnel in the operation, maintenance and repair of specific items of engineering systems/equipment onboard USN Surface Ships.

What You Will Do Lead the SEMAT Sasebo team conducting maintenance on HM&E equipment onboard USN ships located in Sasebo, Japan and the 7th Fleet AOR. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between Navy customers (Port Engineers, ship leadership, SRF leadership), project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. What You Must Have 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience. Must have at least eight (8) years experience in aircraft carrier or surface ships as applicable HM&E engineering. Have at least five (5) years experience in coordinating and supervising personnel effort in accomplishing shipboard HM&E repairs. Must have at least two (2) years involved with practical aircraft carrier or surface ships as applicable maintenance availability, procedures, work integration, administration and maintenance scheduling. At least four (4) years experience in administration of the Navy Quality Assurance Program, 3M and Supply systems. Must have a current, active DoD Confidential security clearance or higher. Must be able to obtain and maintain SOFA eligibility and CAC ID for base access. Preferred: Bonus Points ForAt least ten (10) years experience serving in engineering or repair department onboard USN surface ships in a leadership position.
At least ten (10) years experience in aircraft carrier or surface ships as applicable HM&E engineering.
Physical Requirements May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment.
