Semi Senior Financial Reporting Analyst LATAM

Area:

 In the HUB of Montevideo, we have the Financial Reporting area, which is responsible for ensuring that the financial statements are completed correctly, complying with local and international regulations. Monthly, quarterly, and annual reports are prepared, collaborating with Local Finance, Controlling, and the parent company. At the end of the month, all information is gathered from the SAP System modules, and then we report our Financial and Operational versions in our official system.

 

Main Objective of the Position:

 Perform daily tasks and periodic analyses related to Financial Reporting, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of accounting information in SAP and other databases.

 

Main Tasks:

 

Will be in charge of reporting the financial statements of various companies in LATAM, with the responsibility of ensuring the quality of the reported information.

Provide support to local Finance and maintain smooth communication with the parent company and various areas of the organization.

Carry out daily and monthly activities related to Financial Reporting processes.

Will be responsible for compliance with closing controls, contribute to the preparation of notes for the quarterly and annual financial statements, perform account analysis of various balance sheet accounts, as well as analytical procedures of the balances under their scope.

Collaborate with tasks related to the accounting of Fixed Assets and leasing accounts (IFRS16).

Will be responsible for providing services in accordance with established work procedures while adhering to BASF policies, Financial Reporting Compliance (FRC), and legal requirements.

Contribute to important tasks for the entire organization such as: external audit, internal control, implementation of changes, and global projects, among others.

Understand the E2E process and the impact within Financial Reporting and other areas of work.

Effectively drive process improvements in the area and facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.

 

Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements for the Position:

Education | Advanced student or graduate in Certified Public Accounting or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration

Work Experience | Between 3 and 5 years of experience in accounting areas.

Languages | Mandatory advanced English, and knowledge of Portuguese is highly valued.

Technical Skills | Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel. Knowledge of SAP and experience with Macros will be valued.

Soft Skills | Good comunication skills
