Senior, Data Quality Analyst
**What´s the role?** As a Data Quality Engineer, you will be a vital contributor to our data governance efforts, ensuring that accurate, reliable, and high-quality data is accessible across the organization. Your proactive role will involve implementing data governance policies and data validation procedures to maintain data integrity, thereby empowering the Analytics function to derive important insights. You will handle data governance, and demonstrate a solid base in data management, and provide guidance in writing SQL queries to support data analysis and reporting needs. **How can you add value?** + Translate business needs into technical specifications to guarantee that company data is accurate, reliable and effective method to understand business needs + Develop ETL’s under standard industry tools, implementing custom automated processes to ensure accurate processing and management of internal data + Define and implement data validation rules, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and consistent across all systems + Continuously monitor the performance of existing data pipelines and proactively address any data discrepancies and issues + Map and document existing data sources, define and standardize data dictionaries to ensure scalability in our data architecture and alignment to LLA’s data governance practices + Collaborate with data engineers to enhance ETL/ELT workflows with data quality checks and validation layers to correct, enrich, and standardize data for analytics and reporting + Collaborate with corporate BI & IT teams and systems’ data owners to ensure correct alignment to data sources, data pipelines, and data hosting and processing technologies + Provide operational support to corporate BI & IT teams for implementing a centralized Data Lake as the ‘single source of truth’ for all reporting needs in LCPR + Partner with business users to understand data quality struggles and prioritize remediation efforts + Ensure adherence to LLA’s data privacy standards and security policies, reinforcing our commitment to secure data use + Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and analyze data for reporting purposes + Build automatic procedures for monthly and daily operational reports, by transferring data from our core systems to assist short-term and long-term planning + Develop and maintain scalable dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making for key collaborators + Automate processes, proactively audit data, and enable self-service reporting for other functional areas + Serve as information support for other company areas by running ad-hoc reports as required + Demonstrate and ensure compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Latin America's policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures. + Other functions may be assigned. **What do you need?** **Education** **and/or** **Experience:** Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, information Systems, Data Science or related field 3-6 years of experience in data governance, data quality engineering, or data management Knowledge of ELT workflows and standard methodologies for maintaining data integrity **Other Qualifications:** + Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English). + Experience in telecommunications or large-scale enterprise data environments is a plus + Programming in Python and/or R nice to have + Experience with cloud-based data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery, and familiarity with cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud + Proficiency in SQL and experience writing complex queries + Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.) **Liberty Puerto Rico provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship, age, marital status, social status, sexual orientation, gender identity, protected veteran, military service obligation, disability status, genetic information, political affiliation, and being or being perceived as a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking.
