As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have demonstrated expertise in designing and developing web and cross-platform applications using React, Node.js and React Native and apply it to the development, improvement, and release of innovative in-store digital engagement features like QR codes, store mode, store maps and store pages within the Walmart website and App. In our team, you will work with talented engineers across our platforms including mobile engineers, backend service engineers, UX Designers and product managers.

Our team In-Store Shopping Experiences is responsible for enabling omni-service experiences for customers that want to engage with us online or in-stores for custom services focusing on many aspects of their day-to-day life. Walmart is investing in transforming these spaces with latest technology and we are looking for talented individuals who can use their engineering skills to help our teams solve complex problems.
What you'll do…
Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Software Engineering and apply this to the development of action plans. Analyze business problems to design solutions and/or implements and test complex code changes for specific requirements or application. Deliver high quality code for the product requirements in an agile scrum sprint.
Investigate and fix software defects.
Assure app stability and code coverage by writing Unit and Functional tests.
Collaborate with team members across web, native and backend tech stacks to align on solutions across platforms.
Utilize industry open-source research, tools, and practices to improve Walmart technology environment.
Define and enforce technical standards and best practices for front-end and full-stack development.
Implement application which meet throughput and SLAs requirements. Implement unit test cases, perform code reviews, and write feature documentation. Perform build, deployment, and continuous integration processes to move the code and configurations from local development environments to QA & Production environments.
Perform code reviews of proposed source changes
What you’ll bring:
Atleast 4+ years of experience in building mobile & desktop user experiences
Strong expertise in web and cross platform development using React, Node.js , React native and Typescript
Good expertise in creating functional automation testing open-source automation frameworks.
Familiarity working with GraphQL and REST APIs
Clear Communication, including the ability to create functional charts.
Ability to multitask between several different requirements and features concurrently.
Experience with cloud native technology, CI/CD
Superior analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude.
Ability to perform in a team environment.
Nice to have Backend experience either Java or NodeJS development.
Experience in Azure cloud architecture and deployments and strong understanding of cloud technology
Experience in e-commerce domain preferred
