Position Summary
As a Senior .NET Developer with our Engineering/Technology team, you will contribute to the development of integrated online ordering and payments solutions for the quick service restaurant (QSR) and fast casual dining (FCD) industries. You will be developing solutions online, web-based, tablet, mobile and other digital mediums.
Primary ResponsibilitiesActively engage with fellow colleagues in establishing robust, scalable, and flexible technical/technological architecture and make recommendations for improvementsAdhere to strong, general software engineering principles and write high quality, reusable, and scalable codeDesign, develop and implement mission critical applications using .NET Framework and SQL technologiesWork closely with other team members, including other developers, QA engineers, and Business Analysts, on an Agile teamUse your experience in the complete product life cycle, including experience in software revision control and test methodologies, to help us achieve our business objectivesBe responsible for iteratively and incrementally improving both software solutions and processesCommunicate effectively verbally and through written documentation to present findings and recommendations to the team, including local and off shored team membersInvestigate issues and correct defectsLearn the technical workings of a complex software platform, and apply that knowledge to design and implement improvementsIntegrate the Tillster platform with other software services and platforms, including POS systems, payment systems, loyalty providers, and mobile software service providersOther duties as required or directed
Requirements5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience developing in .NET, with proven experience developing scalable, reliable, and robust high-transactional mobile and web-based productsMust be highly proficient in many of the following domains: .NET, asp.net, WCF, MVC, ORM tools, SOA, MS SQL Server, C#, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, AJAX, REST, Cordova, XML/XSL, Web Services, SSL, HTML, CSS, Web Application Security, Performance TuningStrong SQL server design and optimization skillsStrong to advanced knowledge in object-oriented design concepts, service architectures, and application development using relational databases.Must have exposure to complete product life cycle, with formal training or experience in software revision control and test methodologies.Be responsible for iteratively and incrementally improving both products and processesMust have a good understanding of design patternsMust be able to convert requirements to design documentsSolid experience with enterprise web application developmentExtensive experience with unit testing and continuous integrationAbility to multi-task and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environmentAgile/SCRUM Software Development Process Experience is a plusAbility to communicate effectively verbally and through written documentation, meetings and presentations to local and off shored teamResults oriented and experienced with Agile software developmentBS or above in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent education/experienceThe Interview ProcessRecruiter interview with a Talent Acquisition SpecialistInterview with Director of EngineeringFinal interview with our CTOPay and Benefits (PORTUGAL)Compensation competitive to market and geographical location.Meal allowance for each day worked available through meal card.Home/Office allowance reimbursement per calendar month, pro-rated based on employment start date.Health insurance: Tillster pays the premium for employee private health insurance.
