Senior Access & Asset Manager
Celonis
Make is the leading visual platform for anyone to design, build, and automate anything—from tasks and workflows to apps and systems—without the need for coding skills. We are headquartered in the flourishing tech hub of Prague, Czech Republic, and our teams are spread across the USA, UK, Germany, France, Canada, India and Chile, among other locations.
**Why do we love building Make (and why you might, too)?**
We are developers and we take it for granted that we can solve pretty much anything by writing software. But what if someone is not a developer or doesn't have access to one? Chances are that they will end up doing the same boring tasks over and over, copy-pasting data from one place to another, wasting time on low-value work instead of doing something way more impactful.
With Make, we give anyone the opportunity to build powerful automations in a way that almost feels like a game. We give anyone a chance to experience the joy of building something that just works. We turn regular people into **makers** .
**What you’ll do**
As a Senior Access & Asset Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the tools, applications, and assets within the Engineering organization. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME), driving initiatives to streamline operations, ensure compliance, and improve efficiency through automation and innovation. You will also collaborate closely with the Product and Experience organizations to align them with Engineering’s access and asset management standards.
While the primary focus of this role is strategic, the Senior Access & Asset Manager will also serve as a backup for operational activities, ensuring continuity and avoiding single points of failure. This includes supporting day-to-day operations as needed, such as access provisioning, troubleshooting, and system oversight. This role does not involve people management responsibilities.
In particular, you will:
+ Oversee the Engineering portfolio of tools and applications, ensuring their effective management, optimization, and audit certification compliance (e.g. ISO27001, SOC2).
+ Act as the SME for tooling, understanding complexities and providing innovative solutions to optimize, redesign, and improve processes, enhancing efficiency, and supporting SSO implementation.
+ Create and maintain protocols, procedures, and guidelines for tool usage and access management.
+ Manage user roles, permissions, and active licenses, ensuring compliance with security standards.
+ Own and manage the lifecycle of Engineering assets, from onboarding and financial assessments to compliance and operational alignment.
+ Define and implement asset management strategies that optimize costs, improve compliance, and meet organizational needs.
+ Collaborate with Third-Party Risk Management to conduct security and risk assessments for vendors and tools in the asset management system.
+ Act as the Business Owner for the tools and applications within your portfolio, working alongside Technical Owners to ensure effective management, compliance, and optimization of our systems.
+ Provide input on and oversee vendor selection, contract renewals and budgeting and invoicing for tools and applications.
+ Communicate changes and promote system adoption.
+ Identify and lead automation initiatives to reduce manual effort, enhance efficiency, and add value.
+ Continuously seek opportunities to optimize services and improve operational workflows.
+ Partner with external and internal stakeholders, including Technical Owners, Product and Experience teams, vendors, IT procurement, and risk management teams.
+ Conduct regular reviews with Technical Owners to align on performance and priorities.
+ Provide regular updates to senior management on progress, performance, and key initiatives.
+ Have fun at work :)
**What we expect from you**
In order to thrive in the Access & Asset Manager role, you need to demonstrate the following competencies and experience:
+ Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
+ Proven experience managing and optimizing tools, applications, and assets in an engineering or technical environment.
+ Technical knowledge of engineering tooling and applications (e.g.: GitHub, Teleport, Atlassian products and others) and their role in organizational workflows.
+ Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), including user group management, permissions, and SSO integration.
+ Familiarity with third-party risk management processes and compliance requirements (such as ISO27001, SOC2).
+ Ability to balance strategic responsibilities with hands-on operational tasks, ensuring continuity and avoiding single points of failure.
+ Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation, with experience leading implementation efforts and with a focus on strategic and scalable solutions.
+ Demonstrated ability to define and implement strategies for tooling and asset management that optimize costs, ensure compliance, and leverage a solid understanding of financial concepts, including budgeting and cost optimization.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and holistically.
+ Familiarity with project management principles and tools to coordinate cross-functional initiatives effectively.
+ Capable of assessing project risks, anticipating roadblocks, and implementing effective solutions.
+ Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, aligning on priorities and driving results.
+ Exceptional communication skills to clearly and accurately convey project status, issues, dependencies, and risks to leadership and other stakeholders.
+ Highly organized with excellent customer service skills, maintaining a collaborative and solution-oriented approach.
