Reporting to the EVP, National Practice Lead, you will be responsible for the leadership and overall direction of account teams, with a focus on putting the client at the center and bringing the best team to the table. You will oversee staffing, training, organizational development, and client service, all with a commitment to quality and impact. You will lead all aspects of program planning and execution while contributing to organic growth and winning new business. Most importantly, you will value integrity, honesty, kindness, and the mentoring and development of those around you. Your role will encompass a number of communications disciplines, including thought leadership, reputation management, stakeholder communications, influencer outreach, disease awareness campaigns, product launches, and patient engagement. You will actively support client teams across various sectors, including patient associations, NGOs, ministries of health, hospitals, life sciences organizations, fitness providers, tech firms, and biopharmaceutical companies. Based on your experience, you make decisions on the fly and offer a highly qualified opinion on how to translate our clients’ visions into reality. Qualifications: A strategic mindset and a positive attitude, bringing your life experience, diverse background, skills, and authentic self to a team that values your input. A learning mentality, with a demonstrated willingness to tackle new challenges and a commitment to helping our team and clients achieve success. A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is highly desirable. 10+ years of progressive experience in communications marketing within the health sector, with significant experience in agency environments. Extensive integrated campaign experience with a focus on strategic development and execution. Deep understanding of key opinion leader and health influencer program development, with a track record of successful relationship-building. Experience fostering partnerships with third-party organizations, healthcare professionals, and caregivers to enhance program effectiveness. Strong financial acumen, including a comprehensive understanding of revenue, profitability, pricing structures (hourly vs. retainer accounts), utilization, realization, budgeting, and forecasting. Advanced digital marketing experience, with a keen insight into leveraging digital channels for health communications. References demonstrating your ability to build and lead engaged, high-performing teams committed to overall success. In a fast-paced, evolving environment, you excel in setting the stage for successful outcomes for your account teams, demonstrating adaptability and strategic foresight. Knowledge of the Canadian regulatory environment, with practical experience navigating PAAB, ASC, and other relevant guidelines. Passion for mentoring, coaching, and driving team success. Benefits and Perks: Hybrid, flexible work model with remote work options and purposeful in-office days. 4 weeks of paid vacation, plus additional days for your birthday and personal curiosity. Statutory holidays, National Truth and Reconciliation Day, and World Mental Health Day. Holiday office closure from Christmas to New Year. Half-day Fridays during summer long weekends. Flexible sick days and a “Dusk till Dawn” email policy. Comprehensive employer-paid benefits and annual wellness/fitness allowance. Tuition reimbursement policy. Edelman is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
