Senior Account Executive
SENIOR TREATY BROKER AND CLIENT MANAGER We are looking for a Senior Treaty Broker in Reinsurance Solutions! Aon Reinsurance Solutions is the leading reinsurance broker in Japan. Job Responsibilities: + Working as a client manager for a core Aon treaty client, handling all aspects of treaty placement. Typical advice provided to client includes placement structuring / design, available coverage & capacity, likely pricing, potential coverage enhancements, selection of markets (reinsurers) and general market information. + Working (both individually and alongside analytics team colleagues) to provide supporting analytics and research required to develop and deliver market presentation and broking strategy. + Identifying appropriate markets for placement based on clients’ market security guidelines and other requirements, coordinating with the Aon client team in Tokyo, London, and other locations to secure successful outcomes for the client. + Negotiating favourable terms and conditions of placement with the market. + Working in accordance with Aon’s code of conduct. Required Skills & Experience: + 15+ years experience in the re/insurance industry, combined with a very good understanding of Japanese business style and practice. Experience working in an underwriting business (insurance and/or reinsurance) an advantage. + Proven ability to support a client through changing and challenging market circumstances. + Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various levels, to build strong relationships with the client and with reinsurers. + Ability to inspire commitment and action in others (internally and externally) through effective interpersonal skills and communication. + Ability to learn, developing a broad understanding of Aon’s products/services and of Aon’s global organisation to bring the best of Aon to clients. + Strong technical ability and basic numeracy (including understanding of cat modelling and DFA). + Fluency in Japanese and English speaking, reading and writing. Education: + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
