McLaren Engineering, the engineered products division of Linamar Corporation, is a company focused on the design, development & testing of advanced automotive driveline & powertrain systems.
Key Accountabilities:
· Support, Foster, Promote & Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values & Leadership Behaviors
· Maintain balance between customer, employee & financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy
· Support & maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements

· Meet or beat annual sales growth target using market intelligence and relationships with the customer.
· Develop an annual action plan to support business group revenue goals & maintain quarterly revenue forecasts against annual target
· Identify client needs & provide effective solutions based on Linamar’s core business offerings & services
· Develop a solid understanding& relationship with the various Group business staff to support full understanding of Linamar’s overall business capabilities.
· Resolve conflict situations as needed, to ensure the most beneficial application of business opportunities are achieved within the Linamar long term business objectives
· Maintain continuous personal contact with the customer base for the purpose of obtaining maximum anticipation in the sale of Company products. This includes all customer personnel (engineering, R & D, quality, product development & purchasing) that have influence on purchasing or specifying those products
· Manage service to the customer in a timely manner
· Lead sales & business development through customer networking, technical understanding of product & application & meetings
· Work closely with the technology, engineering & quality team to create an unbeatable value proposition for the customer
· Responsible for continuous update of all customer information including engineering specifications. Establish & maintain files for use in Sales & related activities
· Keep immediate manager apprised of all business developments, particularly competition, prices, design engineering needs, potential new or modified approaches to design, industry performance requirements, product changes, or other factors that would influence company business decisions
· Recommend price/contribution from cost estimate information & review with manager prior to submitting quotes & proposals to customers
· Develop sales forecasts & objectives for the assigned area of responsibility.
· Present ideas that may have an impact on cost reduction, product improvement, new product possibilities, increased sales volume, & new customers
· Work closely with individual plants; & support customer & plant needs
· Communicate & coordinate with appropriate Company departments the immediate & future actions to satisfactorily fulfill the Company's commitment to our customers. Participate in or lead meetings to review results, formulate plans, & implement action plans to affect future sales

Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration
· 5 – 15 years of automotive sales
· Strong understanding of customer & market dynamics & requirements
· Knowledge of business & management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, & coordination of people & resources
· Ability to interpret numerical information for costing & analysis for feasibility to quote on business
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, & PowerPoint
