SWBC is seeking a talented individual who works collaboratively with the Producer, Executive Account Manager and the Communications Director managing a book of business. The Senior Account Manager is an integral part of the Employee Benefits team; follows established processes and procedures; provides sales and services of group health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability and voluntary products. Coordinates implementation, renewal negotiation, benefit coordination, plan analysis and renewal presentations to clients. Provides clients day to day service for resolution of client questions and issues for employee benefits. Maintains client and strong carrier relationships.

Essential duties include the following:
Be responsible for a book of business.Maintains client files, handle renewal prep, responsible for the RFP process, preparing census and marketing group.Reviews renewal pricing information from carriers and determine negotiation strategy to invoke and utilize discounts.Collaborates on delivering multi-year strategic plan.Able to prepare and coordinate renewal data necessary for any account renewal.Able to make fully insured and self-funded presentations to clients.Reviews rates provided by various carriers in response to bid request.Creates spreadsheets with various carrier rates to discuss with clients to explain the various pros and cons between each carrier.Presents spreadsheet to decision makers which may be a committee or a single point of contact.Determines client’s ability to purchase various plans and compare to proposals; if proposals do not meet client’s financial ability, discuss with carrier to determine alternatives.Presents possible new and additional lines of products to clients to increase sales.Be adept at meeting or rescheduling deadlines with clients and setting priorities on projects.On an ongoing basis, assist clients and their employees regarding benefits questions, eligibility, claims issues and concerns.Maintains education and knowledge of carrier plans to provide current/correct information to clients.Submit data to carriers properly formatted; data provided is based on carrier guidelines; criteria are generally consistent between carriers. Able to pull reports off carrier portal and be able to interpret data.Provides benchmarking reports to client (annually or quarterly).Advises and guides clients in compliance matters.Performs contract review and facilitates preparation of SPD Wraps, Cafeteria and POP. Plans documents.Familiar with FSA’s, HSA’s, HRA’s, and COBRA.Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
Group 1 License required; keep license current through continuing education.Minimum 10 years of related experience with employer sponsored health insurance benefits working as an Account Manager or Account Representative in the employee benefits arena.Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, other related field, or equivalent work experience.Self-Funded experience strongly preferred.Experience with BenefitPoint, PlanSight and Employee Navigator Software preferred.Client facing experience required.Excellent organizational, communication, presentation and analytical skills.Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point preferred.Able to travel.Able to lift 10-20 lbs. of files, manuals, or boxes.Able to stoop, kneel, and/or sit for long periods of time.SWBC offers*:
