Overview:

We have tremendous opportunities for Senior Accountants to play a key role on our Assurance team.  We have openings for candidates residing in and around Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse or Albany, New York.  As a highly valued member of our Firm, you will work closely with the assurance team to provide timely, accurate, and reliable completion of client engagements.  

Responsibilities:

Become familiar with The Bonadio Group's policies and proceduresDevelop positive working relationships with clients as well as with internal co-workersDevelop understanding of client’s business and aspects of client’s industryPrepare clear and concise working papers and financial statementsGenerate reports which identify and address areas of significant risk and evaluate overall effectiveness of operationsRecommend changes to policies and establish procedures that positively influence organization's operationWork on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trendsManage, develop, train, and mentor colleaguesRecognize the opportunity of providing new and innovative services and demonstrates the ability to pursue such opportunitiesRetain and develop new clients, including cultivate opportunities to cross-sell the firm’s full range of client servicesMaintain and promote ethics and firm values in conducting internal and external business compliance services, and transaction advisory servicesContinual learning of rules, regulations, and code of professional conduct of the AICPA and pronouncements of the FASB and AICPA

Qualifications:

Required:

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting with 150 credit hours that qualify towards pursuit of CPAA minimum of three years of relevant assurance experience Progress towards completion of CPAProficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams and OutlookAbility and willingness to travel as neededProven ability to provide mentoring and leadership to team members
 

Preferred:

CPA CertificationExperience with ProSystems Engagement softwareInvolvement in professional and community organizations
 

The salary range for this opportunity is between $65,000-$85,000 commensurate with experience.

Hours of Operation:

Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through FridayOur summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday  We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times
