Senior Accountant, Audit & Compliance

At Accruent, our Accounting/Compliance team is the financial backbone that supports our mission.  Our dedicated team members are meticulous stewards of the company’s financial health, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strategic financial planning that align with our organizational goals.  We thrive in a remote environment that demands strong self-direction and a proactive mindset.  We are a dynamic group of professionals committed to fostering an environment of continuous improvement, collaboration and professional growth.  As a Senior Accountant on our team, you will play a critical role in managing the integrity of our accounting processes and ensuring their compliance with applicable regulations, including Sarbanes-Oxley.  We are looking for a self-starter who is comfortable taking initiative and can work independently in a remote environment.  Your expertise will be essential in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly, meet critical deadlines and align with our business objectives.

How you will make a difference:

Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and approving journal entries. Performing monthly account analysis and reconciliations. Posting monthly, quarterly and yearly (if any) accruals. Assisting with monthly close process. Performing SOX controls tasks assigned to you. Leading the internal self-testing program related SOX controls, including project management and leading team-wide training. Assisting in the preparation for internal and external audits. Understand and apply accounting principles, policies and procedures. Review, post, reconcile and analyze intercompany and intra-company transactions. Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request.

You will stand out if you have:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent. Have an understanding of US GAAP. Have compliance (internal/external) experience, specifically with SOX testing. Have intercompany experience. Have experience with Netsuite. Have strong written and verbal communication skills. Two+ years of relevant experience
