Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting

Overview:
Gopuff is changing the world of instant commerce and is seeking a growth-minded Senior Accountant to join the Financial Reporting team. This is a new role that will be responsible for our financial reporting activities including monthly consolidated financial reports, quarterly bank and board reporting packages, annual consolidated financial statements and adhoc stakeholder reporting. To further support the business, this role will perform analysis, supplemental reporting, data integrity validation and create customized data extracts. The role will also assist with stock-based compensation and equity accounting, coordinate our external audit delivery efforts and help to document our accounting policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, advanced excel skills and attention to detail, while also having the soft skills to be a valued partner to key business leaders and others in the Finance function. The successful candidate will have experience with global organizations, complex legal entity structures, intercompany transactions and reconciliations, foreign currency transactions and 409a valuations.You Will:Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements including footnote disclosures, supporting schedules, roll-forwards and reconciliationsBe responsible for the global consolidation of multiple legal entities, including elimination entries and FX / CTA reconciliations and analysisPerform balance sheet and income statement variance reviews and assist in developing a comprehensive analytical review package for managementPrepare journal entries and reconciliations for stock-based compensation and equity, business combination purchase price allocations and debt-related transactionsDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP principlesWork with external auditors to ensure documentation, deliverables and financial reporting meets agreed deadlines and quality standardsContribute to the Company’s internal controls and assurance activities, including assisting with the preparation of internal controls documentation and remediation of internal controls gaps, as identifiedAssist in various special projects as they arise including support of periodic valuations (409A).You Have:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA, preferably with Big 4 experience5+ years of relevant experienceStrong interest and experience in working with GAAP, SEC and financial covenant reporting requirementsAdvanced Excel skills, excellent analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of accounting principlesOptimistic attitude and a solution mindsetAbility to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlinesStrong project management and communication skills - verbal and writingExcellent attention to detail and organizationGood at working independently – proactive and a self-starter.CompensationGopuff pays employees based on market pricing and pay may vary depending on your location. The salary range below reflects what we’d reasonably expect to pay candidates. A candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
