Senior Accountant, Global Consolidations & Reporting

The Senior Accountant role within the Global Consolidations and Reporting group will fill a key role within the Finance organization and will be responsible for key aspects of the closing and reporting processes, i.e. schedules, journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis of accounts. This role will also be heavily involved in the areas of internal management book-keeping and reporting, including the preparation of the Company’s GAAP Balance Sheet and Income Statement. This position will interact directly with finance teams residing in the Company’s four business regions (Americas, Europe, Japan and Asia Pacific) and will help drive processes to unify the Company’s global accounting structure. There will also be ongoing, ad hoc projects that will provide for continuous learning opportunities and exposure to a variety of aspects of the Company.
The Senior Accountant role will interact with the Senior Manager Global Consolidations & Reporting as well as External Reporting, Enterprise Assurance Services, Tax, Legal, Treasury, and specific regional operational personnel to understand transactions and reporting. As part of that involvement, the Senior will be expected to make solid recommendations and find solutions to accomplish our reporting goals, proposing alternative ways to structure workflows or improve operations if necessary.
The ideal candidate will have financial and technical accounting competence, critical thinking proficiency, strong communication, and collaboration skills. The candidate must be able to balance many different priorities/projects and work effectively in a teaming environment. In this global role, the candidate must have the ability to communicate and relate to senior leadership and all levels of personnel within the organization. The candidate must be able to embrace and meet the demands of a rapidly growing, fast paced, complex and entrepreneurial environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support for various accounting functions, which may include equity, foreign currency translation, intercompany, and global consolidations and eliminationsGlobal review and oversight to ensure the Company’s reporting is in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), specifically including the Company’s GAAP Balance Sheet and Income StatementEstablish strong working relationships with External Reporting, Enterprise Assurance Services, Tax, Legal, Treasury, and specific regional finance and operational personnelAssist in the compilation and review of other monthly management reporting and ad hoc internal reportingMonitor global dimensionality, analyze global GAAP Income Statement and Balance Sheet, prepare internal eliminations, and partner with regions for explanations supporting changes in our GAAP Financial StatementsStreamline the monthly close and consolidation processEnsure all closing activity is performed in a timely manner and reporting deadlines are metWork with personnel from the Company’s various regions to drive global consistency in the company’s accounting structureImprove financial reporting, including enhanced automated reporting within the OneStream reporting systemAssist with the development and implementation of global accounting policiesImprove the efficiency and effectiveness of the global accounting functionBe a positive role model for the Finance team and help them continuously learn and improveIdentify best practices and create ideas for process improvementsQualifications:
Proven track record of professional excellenceBachelor’s degree in accounting (MBA, MAcc or advanced degree is a plus)CPA certification or eligibility preferred2 to 4 years of professional experience. Combination of public accounting and private industry is a plusStrong technical accounting and GAAP financial reporting skillsStrong interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written communications, change agent for process improvementA self-starter that is action and results orientedStrong proficiency with Microsoft ExcelStrong financial systems aptitudeOther Characteristics:
