JOB DESCRIPTION

As a member of the Corporate Finance department, the SEC Reporting Senior Accountant will play a key role in the preparation of financial information to be presented to senior management and published in quarterly SEC filings (10-Q/10-K). During quarter-end, this person will be involved in the quarterly financial reporting process, which will include financial statement analysis work, preparation of financial statements and footnotes, coordinating with divisions and other groups within Corporate Finance, maintaining detailed integrity of the financial database, and preparing documentation for senior management, along with ad-hoc reporting requests. During off-quarter months, this person will be involved in monitoring new accounting pronouncements and guidance, monitoring financial information including leases, testing controls, and other ad-hoc special projects.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the preparation of the financial statement footnotes and MD&A for Fox Corporation's Annual Report and the preparation of Form 10-Ks and Form 10-Qs, including XBRL review

Assist in gathering information from individual business units to include in the Annual and Quarterly Reports

Assist in the preparation, review and tie-out of investor relations presentations, audit committee decks and other materials, including from legal (ie  proxy filings)

Assist with technical accounting questions, special projects, and transactions

Provide direct support on various special projects (i.e., analytical review, quarterly accounting updates, etc.)

Assist in the documentation and testing of internal controls in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act

Work closely with local finance and accounting teams, as well as various corporate finance teams (FP&A, Tax, Consolidations, etc.) and provide support

Assist in the preparation of support for, and work closely with, the external auditors

Continuously improve processes and create efficiencies in financial reporting

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

CPA (or in the examination/licensing process)

2 years in public accounting or other relevant experience

Big 4 accounting experience is preferred

Experience with preparing notes/memoranda explaining changes in balance sheet and income statement accounts

Strong organizational skills

Must be comfortable working independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees

Detail-oriented

Excellent written and verbal communication

Proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Quick learning team player that is highly motivated and energetic

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $75,000.00-105,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
