The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly journal entries for posting to the general ledger along with monthly general ledger account reconciliations. Analyze, verify, and record financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner. Ensure documentation of reconciliation and journal entry procedures are maintained as changes occur. Assist in the monthly financial close process. Make recommendations for continual and proactive process improvement. Identify potential control weaknesses and suggest solutions to strengthen controls. Function as a liaison between Accounting, Finance, Product and Operations. Participate in cross-functional projects as subject matter expert to support business, regulatory, and other operational changes. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills capable of thriving in a fast paced, dynamic environment. **What you will do:** + Analyze, verify, and record financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner. + Assist in the monthly financial close process, including preparing journal entries for posting to the general ledger and performing account reconciliations. + Perform various tasks in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. + Conduct detailed reconciliations of operational expenditures, cost of goods sold, and revenues. + Provide timely and accurate financial information to management. + Support internal and external audit activities and inquiries. + Ensure financial information is fairly presented in accordance with GAAP and Company policies. + Maintain documentation of all processes and procedures as changes occur. **What you will need to have:** + 4+ years of experience in accounting. + Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar. + Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and Access. + Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. + Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience and/or military experience. **What would be great to have:** + Structured mindset with process/continuous improvement orientation. + Creative self-starter with the ability to take ownership and work independently as well as contribute to a team. + Strong interpersonal and presentation skills. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Important info about this role:** + We’re better together.
