Triple-S Steel is a privately owned, multi-billion-dollar leader in steel distribution, operating across multiple countries through a group of affiliated companies. As part of our centralized accounting function, we are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our growing team.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with strong computer skills, proficiency in Excel (intermediate to advanced), and solid knowledge of GAAP. This onsite role requires exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This position supports the Controller and has direct visibility to the Senior VP of Finance, the Director of Financial Reporting, and the CFO. The role focuses on the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across multiple locations within a centralized structure.

Support monthly, quarterly, yearly close and reporting processes, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and variance analysis for income statement and balance sheet accountsSupport preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements, including intercompany account reconciliations, elimination entries, and FX translation adjustmentsPrepare and analyze monthly bank, retail, and credit card reconciliationsMaintain fixed asset records, ensuring accuracy and complianceRecommend and implement process improvements, including documentation of proceduresAssist with audits, regulatory filings, and special projectsEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policiesResearch accounting standards and draft technical accounting memosLiaise with Tax department to help resolve Tax issuesSupport ad hoc reporting and special assignments as needed QualificationsEducation & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA or CMA preferred5+ years of accounting experienceExperience in consolidated financial statement preparation preferred (1–2 years)Background in audit, public accounting, or internal audit a plusFamiliarity with distribution or industrial services industry preferredExperience with ERP and GL systems (eStelplan, Invex preferred but not required)Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office SuiteSkills:
