Senior Accountant Opportunity

Chesterfield, MO (hybrid schedule)

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, with a focus on balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and compliance with internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals.Analyze financial statements and provide variance explanations.Support the preparation of internal and external financial reports.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure timely reporting.Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries.Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting function.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks).Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
