Purpose
\nSenior Accountant is a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of core financial processes. This position supports the monthly close cycle, prepares detailed balance sheet reconciliations, and performs variance analysis to provide insights into financial performance and trends. With a strong understanding of the business and a focus on continuous improvement, the Senior Accountant partners with branch-level teams and enhances reporting consistency. Through diligent execution and collaboration, this role contributes to the development of timely, reliable financial statements and disclosures that support informed decision-making and uphold compliance with US GAAP.
\n\nKey Responsibilities\nAccounting
\n\nServe as the primary accounting contact for operations and branch leaders, providing accounting support and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.\nPrepare and analyze monthly financial statements delivering clear insights into financial performance.\nProcess and monitor complex journal entries ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper supporting documentation.\nPerform monthly allocations to all branches and validate intercompany transactions to ensure accurate and balanced reporting across entities.\nPrepare and review balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, proactively identifying and resolving variances while maintaining audit-ready documentation.\nCommunicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including senior management, branch presidents, and accounting teams, to provide clarity and support around financial results.\nManage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely completion of all accounting tasks and reporting requirements.\nDemonstrate proactive critical thinking skills, identifying root causes of discrepancies or inefficiencies and implementing effective solutions to improve processes and accuracy.\nAssist with audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate support for external and internal audits.\nContribute to system and process enhancements, including automation initiatives and ERP upgrades, to improve efficiency and accuracy.\nAssist with audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate support for external and internal audits.\nAssist with branch integrations onto ERP platforms and reporting.\nContribute to system and process enhancements, including automation initiatives and ERP upgrades, to improve efficiency and accuracy.\n\n RequirementsEducation / Experience Required:
\nEducation / Work Experience
\n\nBachelor’s degree in accounting required.\n5 years of experience in accounting required.\nCombination of public and industry experience is a plus.\nCPA or CPA candidate Strongly preferred.\n\n\nSkills / Other Requirements
\n\n5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment\nStrong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards\nDirect experience with monthly close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.\nProven ability to perform and explain variance analysis across financial statements.\nProficiency with ERP systems (e.g., D 365 preferred) and advanced Excel skills\nDemonstrated success in process improvement initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.\nExperience working with multi-entity or multi-location organizations is a plus.\nMust be able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.\nStrong customer orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with previous company owners and their accounting teams.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nProactive problem-solver with the ability to identify root causes and implement efficient, concise solutions.\nCollaborative mindset with experience working across corporate and branch-level teams to drive consistency and process improvement.\n\n
