As a Senior Accountant, you will analyze complex financial records and reports. You are responsible for maintaining records to ensure efficiency and accuracy of all accounting tasks. The Senior Accountant is responsible for balancing general ledger accounts. You will also confirm and verify bank reconciliations on behalf of the company. An outstanding Senior Accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detailed-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure. Responsibilities Manage the company’s balance sheet, including identifying and resolving outstanding balances, providing guidance to management, and training other accounting team members. Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Present monthly and quarterly account reconciliation summary to management. Assist with monthly revenue and expenditure reports for management, working closely with the Revenue Manager. Analyze complex financial reports and records. Provide financial expertise and recommendations based on company financial commitments and forecasts. Create and review journal entries. Manage accounting projects on an as needed basis when requested by management. Assist in financial audits and implement audit recommendations. Document and monitor internal controls. Prepare accounting records and financial reports as per company standards. Work in compliance with company accounting standards and guidelines. Utilize software applications for company accounting operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required with 3+ years of accounting experience. CPA is preferred, but not required. Working knowledge of tax laws, U.S. GAAP, and IFRS is required. Strong financial analysis skills and must be able to manage many complex tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel, Quickbooks, Dynamics, or NetSuite experience is preferred. Experience working with multiple currencies and/or multi-national entities is preferred. Excellent attention to detail, good analytical skills, good problem-solving skills, must be self-driven. Excellent oral and written communication and people skills working with all levels of the organization. Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to deal with ambiguity and constant change and effectively leverage resources to solve business issues and prove value. Use time management techniques to plan and execute complex tasks. Champion innovation and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Consistently work on self-development. Advise, guide, teach, inspire, challenge and correct team members. Serves as a role model for the team.
