About This Job
The Senior Accountant position will support various areas of general ledger accounting, journal entries, monthly close, reconciliations, analysis and reporting, internal control, process improvement, system implementation and integration. The Senior Accountant is also responsible for ad-hoc accounting and regulatory/compliance research and draft memos, and other special projects as directed by Accounting Management.Prepare and review monthly accruals for all entitiesPrepare and review journal entries to properly account for general ledger activityPrepare variance analysis for expense accounts monthly, quarterly, and yearlyPrepare reconciliations for general ledger accounts and roll-forward schedulesProcess improvement and development and maintenance of process documentationAnalyze and document financial statement variances monthly, quarterly, and yearly Assist in integration and automation of financial applicationsCollaborate with business units and accounting personnel on forecasting/budget requirementsAct as a SME for Oracle CloudVendor Spend AnalysisFinancial reporting packages / expense review with respective BU ControllersReview and approve GL coding on purchase requisitionsReview SOX documentation for accounting and provide best practice guidanceProvide information and documents to internal auditors, external auditors, and regulatorsWork with Legal department to properly accrue legal expense and reimbursementsCoordinate and gather support for complex accounting projects and reporting initiativesTraining and mentoring Junior Staff Accountants and InternsMaintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, and process documentsSpecial projects, as requestedAbout Axos
