The Opportunity Everyday Health is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Finance and Accounting team. The individual will be responsible for all account reconciliations, monthly close tasks and accounting for different business units within our company. This role will also work on varied projects related to budgeting, forecast, product planning and other performance guidance updates. The individual will report directly to the Senior General Accounting Manager, and work closely with the Assistant Controller and different accounting and financial planning teams across the Company. Key Responsibilities Recording and managing general ledger transactions related to both non-advertising and advertising revenue streamsRecording and managing general ledger transactions related to operating expenses across business unitsOwnership over specific businesses for daily operations (e.g. collections, payables, etc.)Preparation of month-end balance sheet and income statement account analysisPreparation of consolidated financial statements and analysis by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger accounting system, business units and departmentsMonitoring intercompany transactions and reconciliationsMaintaining files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with Company policy and accepted accounting practicesResponding to accounting and financial inquiries by researching and interpreting business unit and departmental financial dataCompleting external audit requests by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information for auditorsProtecting the organization's value by keeping financial and operational information confidentialJob Qualifications B.S. in Accounting, CPA a plus 3-5 years related experience within a digital media company or related field Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication Pride in accuracy and attention to detail Experience with Oracle Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications Exposure and experience in Sarbanes Oxley a plus About Everyday HealthEveryday Health Group (EHG) is a recognized leader in patient and provider education and services attracting an engaged audience of over 74 million health consumers and over 890,000 U.S. practicing physicians and clinicians.
