Senior Accountant
Job Description:

The Role

The Senior Accountant on the Workplace Investing (WI) Accounting Team is a key team member responsible for performing accounting and financial reporting activities supporting the WI and Healthcare businesses. You will work with business and finance partners to ensure accuracy of financial results. You will also assist with improving control processes, accounting systems, and financial reporting. Your month-end close activities will include preparation and creation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and communicating financial results to management.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, financial services preferred Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls Strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel & Word) Experience with, or demonstrated ability to learn, complex financial systems and multi-dimensional reporting tools (e.g., Oracle, Free Form Planning, PowerBI) Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Meticulous while maintaining a broad view of business objectives Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to perform major account/cost analysis and identify/interpret trends in financial results Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills Ability to identify process improvements and recommend changes to policies and procedures Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet reporting deadlines Highly motivated, flexible, quality focused, great teammate
