DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Ownership of reviewing and validating the global accounts receivable balance
Review and validation of consolidated financial results
Apply accounting principles and policies, staying updated with changes in regulations
Analyze revenues and expenses, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of variances
Prepare and review account reconciliations during month-end closing
Generate complex journal entries for monthly financial statement close
Document, monitor, and execute internal controls to ensure compliance
Assist with external audit requests and coordinate with other departments on accounting matters
Analyze accounting procedures, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial documents
Assist with completion of quarterly and annual regulatory filings
Lead team meetings, working sessions, and project-based check-ins
Coach and support junior team members to enhance their skills and performance
Proactively take on additional responsibilities as workflows are optimized and automated
Address escalated queries from stakeholders and provide strategic solutions
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Preferred:
Experience with Oracle Financials Cloud and other cloud-based Oracle solutions
Experience with business process optimization in an accounting environment
CPA, CMA, or relevant professional certification (active or inactive, from any jurisdiction)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Accountability to protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to act and operate independently to accomplish objectives while taking accountability for work product
Ability to work within a team and liaise well across departments and functions
