Job Summary
In a leadership capacity, this role will provide oversight of the books and records of CM LLC. The person in this role will primarily manage and perform various control and analysis to ensure that the books are accurate and in compliance with IFRS / US GAAP reporting requirements.Job Description
What will you do?
Perform various oversight functions to ensure that the books/records of CM LLC & MP LLC are accurate and in compliance with US GAAP / IFRS reporting requirements
Prepare and assist with the sub-ledger to ledger interface; ensuring mappings and preparation of various reconciliations, unpostable, suspense, and any issues with the sub-ledger feeds timely
Identify and coordinate adjustments needed at month-end for financial reporting purposes
Assist with CM LLC & MP LLC intergroup reconciliations; coordinate the cleanup of large breaks
Assist in the preparation of CM LLC currency exposure and hedge analysis
Support IHC / FBO / CCAR and other workflows dependent of CM LLC sub-ledger details supporting ledger balances.
Perform reviews of attestation results and assisting with the resolution of problem accounts
Review and prepare standard of documentation binders, month end worklist binder and Workflow models (BRAG) for compliance with RBC policy to ensure high quality of reconciliations and related support
Work collaboratively with various RBC Teams including Change Management and IT to address process and control deficiencies and complete required tasks
Liaison with external / internal auditors and assist with tax and regulatory examinations
Work closely with management to help establish and maintain relevant procedures, controls and process improvements
Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for journal entries and ledger balances
Assist with ad-hoc inquiries and request from various teams (see Key Relationships)
Assist with knowledge development of the broker dealer team by keeping up to date with relevant accounting
What do you need to succeed?
BA degree in accounting
MBA / MS degree in Finance or Accounting (Optional)
CPA / Public accounting (audit) experience – Preferred
Strong organizational skills
Strong broker-dealer accounting / reporting / financial statement preparation experience
Broad knowledge of financial products and trading / settlement processes
Proficient in US GAAP and IFRS requirements
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and manage competing priorities
Ability to work overtime as needed
Advanced excel skills, including data lookups, pivot table
SQL/VBA excel programming skills a plus
Series 27 – preferred

New York & New Jersey Base Salary Law Disclaimer
The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $80,000 - $130,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
