Senior Accountant
Job Summary: Accountant will oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting. Key Responsibilities: + Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll. + Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. + Conduct month-end and year-end close processes. + Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets. + \Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making. + Coordinate and assist with external audits. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements. + Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. + CPA certification preferred. + Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role preferred. + Experience in the manufacturing sector is highly desirable. + Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. + Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. + Strong communication and leadership abilities.
