About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate Senior Financial Accountant will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for working in the senior living industry. The Senior Financial Accountant will report to the VP of Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes. Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation. Support the implementation of financial systems and process improvements. Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the senior living or healthcare industry. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
