Our client is an established and growing company in the food manufacturing space. They are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring all accounting transactions are completed in accordance with Company and IFRS guidelines. The Senior Accountant will work with the Controller to ensure the collection and analysis of required information to prepare accurate and timely weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial summaries\/statements. The Senior Accountant will also undertake specialized accounting \/ production related projects as needed.\r\n

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant is as follows:\r\nProvide analyses and recommendation on timely and accurate account and bank reconciliation of monthly general ledger accounts.\r\nEnsures accurate recording of raw material receipt and inventory reconciliation on a daily and weekly basis.\r\nMaintains Capital Assets sub ledger and tracks \/ reports on all capital asset projects for review by the Controller and Management.\r\nReconciles all General Ledger accounts, providing information and recommendations on any action required. Maintains standard costing files, ensuring data accuracy.\r\nAs needed, prepares standard and adhoc Management reports for the Controller and\/or SC Management review.\r\nProcesses cash receipts and reconciles Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable sub ledgers.\r\nAssist the Controller in general accounting functions as needed and provides functional guidance to more junior Accounting group staff.\r\n\r\n
