Senior Accountant Job Details Job Location Administration - Black Eagle, MT Position Type Full Time Education Level 4 Year Degree Job Category Accounting Description JOB SUMMARY The Senior Accountant is responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for Mountain View Co-op (MVC). The Senior Accountant must maintain a positive and cooperative attitude that promotes teamwork, integrity, honesty, and helpfulness. The Senior Accountant must embrace and exhibit MVC’s philosophy and culture of customer service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES + Establish and maintain a positive experience for MVC customers, clients, and vendors, through professional interpersonal interactions. + Analyze all relevant financial information and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements. + Ensure that all accounts, ledgers, financial statements, and reporting systems comply with all appropriate GAAP standards, government and industry regulatory requirements, and budgetary reporting requirements and tax filings. + Safeguard company assets by maintaining controls and processes which verify the integrity of all systems and data. + Ensure that all accounts and sub ledgers are reconciled each reporting period. + Handle any customer complaints in a prompt and professional manner. + Establish and maintain a positive customer service experience. + Practice and encourage workplace safety. + Other duties as assigned. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience/Training: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management + 3-5 years progressive accounting experience License/Certification: + Valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Montana
