JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will oversee the general accounting and month end close processes for the North America division. They will also have some financial reporting responsibilities mostly on a quarterly basis. Key responsibilities include the following:
Successfully & accurately prepare all assigned account reconciliations on a monthly basis and improve account recs so that they are well organized and easy to follow. Ensure that all account recs are completed by their assigned due dates.
Successfully and accurately complete all journal entries each period including providing well organized easy to follow support for each entry. Ensure that all journal entries are completed by their assigned due dates.
Provide audit requests as needed by their assigned deadlines.
Understand the purpose of the controls assigned and be able to execute these by their assigned due dates. Ideally if candidates can propose changes or improvements to controls that pertain to them that would be great.
Fulfill requests for analysis and reporting as needed in a timely manner.
Be able to analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and identify key drivers of change from one period to another .
Accurately provide financial reporting schedules by their assigned due dates.
Be able to assist on projects as needed and provide insights and fulfill requests as needed from their manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the field of Accounting.
At least 2 to 3 years of experience working in Accounting
Experience with month end close, recording journal entries, performing account reconciliations.
Proficient in Microsoft excel and word
Experience working in public accounting is preferred but not required. Experience working for a public company is preferred but not required
Advanced excel skills is highly preferred.
