We are seeking a Senior Accountant (National only) to join our team.
Performs a variety of financial activities, including accounting, financial analysis, audit, tax, credit and collections. Develops and evaluates financial plans and policies if needed. Ensure all tax returns, declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates monthly transactional accounting activities including maintenance of fixed assets and rental fleet schedules, prepayment and deposit schedule, accrual of expenses and revenue (as advised and agreed to). Playing a lead role in the month end close process; being responsible for key individual and team tasks including pre-planning and testing, calculation of significant figures and final review of inventory balances (OSMI/GIGO/Deferred Stock Variances). Review of balance sheet and income statement allocation by BA SMR Product Areas, including identifying corrective actions. Planning and coordinating the annual audit and hard close audits and ensuring that these are completed prior to the deadlines.Coordinating the preparation of Company Financial Statements in line with the Group accounting and reporting policies.Prepares and submits VAT return and Corporate Income Tax Report periodically.Perform the internal control review and testing activities periodically.Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation within the finance department.Perform other ad-hoc duties and backup role as required by Finance Manager.JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Art/Science in finance/accounting and/or ACCA, CIMA and CPA qualification.Minimum of 4 year of relevant post-qualification work experienceExcellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures comply with international financial reporting standards.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, using it for complex modelling.
