Responsibilities

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to play a critical role in the success of IGT’s accounting organization. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Accounts Receivable, the Sr. Accountant will be “hands on” with direct responsibility for daily accounting and operations, month and quarter-end close and reporting, as well as being a key contributor to the management and implementation of projects. The selected candidate must also be an advocate for process improvement, transparency, teamwork, and maintaining high quality work product within the department. The selected candidate will be self-motivated and will be instrumental in the growth and expansion of the department. This position will interact with various levels of management, must deliver exceptional customer service and build successful relationships interacting cross-functionally, managing projects, and other duties as assigned.

 

Responsibilities
The Sr Accountant will be a key contributor to the North America Accounts Receivable operations and will provide support and guidance to business partners. The role requires the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment working closely with various internal and external business partners. Other responsibilities will include:

Hands-on responsibility for day-to-day accounting operations, including certain general accounting responsibilities, month-end close, reconciliations and reporting Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly accounts receivable activities, including journal entries and accounts reconciliations, ensuring completeness, accuracy and compliance with internal controls Prepare reports on certain accounts receivable related activities, including weekly cash forecast, month end aging reports and deferred revenue roll forward.  Support the Global Consolidation team in Accounts Receivable profit center reporting Participate in accounting system projects, including performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and other areas where A/R subject matter experience is required Participate in and support internal and external audits, providing required documentation and responding to audit queries Identify ways to streamline and continuously improve processes and internal controls Ad hoc reporting and projects as needed, supporting the Sr. Manager of Accounts Receivable and the broader North America controllership organization Potential for role expansion in the future, including but not limited to supervising staff and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function Additional responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs Qualifications Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across the organization Strong organizational skills enabling simultaneous management of multiple projects Self- motivated, results-oriented with ability to take initiative in a diverse organization Comfortable in a fast-paced environment  Detail oriented


Preferred Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree 3 - 5 years of accounting experience, including within accounts receivable Proficient in MS Excel and Office, SAP experience a plus Experience within a multinational publicly traded business a plus Keys to Success

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $59,795 - $122,400. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
