Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in the consultancy industry, based in San Diego, California. This role involves a variety of accounting responsibilities including processing financial transactions, conducting analyses, and supporting audit and compliance activities. Responsibilities: • Ensure accurate preparation and posting of monthly journal entries, including those for international subsidiaries and currency translations. • Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions. • Assist in the preparation of the monthly Statement of Cash Flows and conduct month-end reconciliations. • Perform monthly Profit & Loss analysis and deferred revenue analysis. • Prepare monthly debt amortization schedules and interest calculations. • Oversee event revenue tracking and recognition for marketing, ensuring compliance with revenue recognition policies. • Assist in project-based expense identification and allocation. • Support the annual financial statement audit by preparing schedules, gathering supporting documentation, and coordinating with external auditors. • Participate in special accounting projects related to process implementation, automation, and reporting improvements. • Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting operations and enhance accuracy. • Cross-train with finance and accounting team members to foster knowledge-sharing and backup support within the department.
