Description We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Senior Accountant will be actively engaged in various accounting tasks, from managing full cycle accounting to aiding with month-end and year-end close procedures. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with the ability to think critically and the capacity to handle tasks independently. Responsibilities: • Manage the full accounting cycle, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable • Play a crucial role in the preparation of journal entries and General Ledger reconciliation • Assist in monitoring inventory and responding to supply chain inquiries • Work with diverse internal and external teams to ensure smooth operation across the firm • Facilitate the reconciliation of account and balance sheet items • Contribute to financial analysis and ad hoc financial reporting • Use Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft programs to complete tasks efficiently • Ensure precision in all tasks, keeping attention to detail a top priority • Handle multiple tasks independently, ensuring all critical deadlines are met. Requirements • Applicant must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably as a Staff or Senior Accountant. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is essential for this role. • Candidate must have experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation. • Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is required. • Proficiency in managing the General Ledger is crucial. • Capability to handle Journal Entries is a must. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. • Experience in Month End Close processes is a crucial requirement. • Ability to perform Ad Hoc Financial Analysis is necessary. • Experience in Financial Analysis is a significant requirement for this role.
