Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our client in the Financial Services industry, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will have a significant impact in maintaining and analyzing our financial records, ensuring accurate and efficient processing, and taking part in local and global projects.
Responsibilities:
• Carry out monthly, which includes tasks like bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly account reconciliations, perform analysis for internal users, and manage cash transaction journal entries.
• Take an active role in coordinating the annual financial audit and the preparation of financial statements.
• Communicate effectively with Auditors to resolve technical accounting issues.
• Contribute to projects or initiatives when required, such as enhancements or implementations of accounting systems.
• Expand your role cross-functionally within the Finance team, gaining exposure to other accounting areas.
• Utilize software like Microsoft Excel for various tasks and reporting needs.
• Ensure the completion of balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close activities.
• Prepare financial reports and handle consolidations as required.
• Be involved in the preparation of financial statements.

Requirements
• Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accountant role.
• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required.
• Applicant must have hands-on experience with General Ledger management.
• Ability to accurately prepare and manage Journal Entries is essential.
• The candidate should have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in the Month End Close process is required.
• Applicant must possess skills in Financial Reporting.
• Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation is a must.
